今年8月，CapitalistPig.com分析師何尼格(Jonathan Hoenig)說，投資人應注意PowerShares公司的美元ETF基金。自那以來，該基金上漲了逾7%。美元的漲勢是否已告結束？

「逾十年來，我們總聽到疲弱的美元，」何尼格說。「這趨勢已經反轉。美元兌日元，兌歐元均轉而走強。因為趨勢傾向於持續，我不認為美元的這波上漲趨勢已告結束。」

是何因素支撐美元持續上漲？何尼格說，有時候，趨勢本身就是持續的理由。而且他相信利率，尤其是短期利率，將走高，更多的投資人將會湧向美元。

這項持續的趨勢，還有其他的跡象可循。「我認為大多投資人都注意他們在外國股市的投資，而這些股市表現大幅落後，」他指出。「過去十年，許多人買進國外投資工具，希望獲得較高收益。而這股趨勢已告結束。」

新的趨勢--美元走強--當強迫投資人再度注意美國國內的投資，避開新興市場與其他外國投資。
