台北市長柯文哲日前接受《建中青年》專訪，提到慈濟內湖開發案，引玄奘大學社會科學院院長釋昭慧不滿，痛斥柯「口吐狂言」，對此，去年九合一選舉力挺柯文哲的部落客醫師楊斯棓稍早在臉書宣示「取消和釋昭慧法師的朋友關係」。

慈濟內湖開發案，台北市長柯文哲日前接受《建中青年》專訪時，提到慈濟「花很多錢去內湖買一塊地，然後慈濟改保護區的地，要改成要開發，奇怪耶」！此話卻引來玄奘大學社會科學院院長釋昭慧不滿，痛斥柯「口吐狂言、羞辱慈濟」，更說「善惡必報」。柯文哲今（24）日回應，他從頭到尾只講了一句「奇怪耶」，就要變成「善惡有報」，反應太過度。

楊斯棓指出，台灣走向民主的路上，昭慧法師往往站在當權者的對立面，彰顯民主價值，然而這次釋昭慧對柯文哲的回應，楊斯棓表達完全無法接受。

他說，釋昭慧把罹癌者用報應來做解讀，不但不科學，也沒有慈悲心。沒有科學素養，沒有人文素養，繼續胡扯辯論，只會讓慈濟若干瑕疵行為被萬千蟻民繼續放大檢視。
