（中央社華盛頓1日綜合外電報導）美國地質調查所（USGS）表示，南太平洋1日發生規模6.9強烈地震，震央位於東加（Tonga）西北西方300公里處，震源深度417公里。

路透社報導，地震發生後，設在夏威夷的太平洋海嘯警報中心（Pacific Tsunami Warning Center）未立即發布海嘯警報。(中央社)
