新北市長朱立倫下午出席「模範母親表揚活動」，針對是否出動搜救出發到遭遇強震的尼泊爾，朱立倫說，新北也是抱著人飢己飢的精神，希望由中央統籌，地方全力配合。

尼泊爾昨下午遭遇強震，台北市表示，搜救隊待命中，待消防署指示，朱立倫說，他們也是抱著人飢己飢的精神，希望由中央來統籌地方所有的消防或救災資源，若有需要，他將全力支援。

另外，記者問到「總統馬英九選在朱習會前，29日宣示92共識，您的岳父也說…」（岳父高育仁曾說要超越92共識，邁入政治協商），朱立倫打斷問話，他回應，5月1日將統一對外說明，總統有向他說明此事，他知道。
