景氣好轉　今年1至8月平均失業人數較去年少

行政院主計總處表示，往年5至8月，因為應屆畢業生大量投入勞動市場不易找到工作的季節變動因素，失業率會攀升，今年因為景氣好轉，工作機會增加，畢業生一投入職場很容易找到工作，因此8月失業率4.08%，是近14年來同月最低水準，主計處強調，9月開始失業率就會下降，但降幅多少須待最近統計出爐。

主計總處表示，統計今年1至8月平均就業人數為1105萬5000人，較去年同期增加10.7萬人，大專及以上程度者占全體就業比率持續提升至47.44%；1至8月平均失業人數是45.9萬人，則比去年同期減少1.8萬人。（許麗珍／台北報導）
