奧克拉荷馬雷霆與帶隊7季的Scott Brooks已經正式「分手」，接替人選近日逐漸浮上檯面，最新人選是聖安東尼奧馬刺助理教練Ettore Messina。

Messina現年55歲，義大利人，2011年離開歐洲赴美，擔任洛杉磯湖人顧問，2014年加入馬刺教練團。

雖然沒有NBA主教練經驗，Messina在歐洲的成績輝煌，2006年、2008年兩度獲得歐洲聯盟（Euroleague）的年度最佳總教練，各國聯賽的冠軍更是不在話下。

Brooks帶隊7年，除了季中才接手的第一年，後續5年都率隊闖進季後賽，2012年殺進總冠軍賽是最佳成績，他在位期間勝率62%，排名隊史第2，僅次於傳奇教頭George Karl的71.9%。

目前有機會接掌雷霆的除了Messina，還有康乃狄克大學（UConn）的Kevin Ollie與佛羅里達大學的Billy Donovan兩名NCAA教頭。

另外，本季打出隊史最佳戰績的亞特蘭大老鷹新教頭Mike Budenholzer也是出身馬刺體系，帶隊第2年的他在今年獲得年度最佳總教練殊榮。
